Romanian Horizons grew out of contact with Romanian people and their environment, and a desire to give other nations the opportunity to find out about Romania. We specialise in trips which take people into the environment, with an emphasis on walking and treking, bird-watching and nature. Although the walking programme is organised from the UK, as far as possible we use local staff to lead the trips and organise our activities in Romania. We are in touch with various organisations associated with land, wildlife, and marine environmental problems in Romania, and over the next few years will be exploring ways to develop these links. Our aim is to assist Romanians in developing sustainable low impact tourism for their country into the future.
